I am a nurse with a heart for children to know their true maker and healer. It is my desire to be Christ's hands and feet for children to experience His loving care for them and come to know Him as their Maker and King. I am from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA where I grew up with my two brothers and parents, attended nursing school, and currently live and work as a nurse at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in the Cardiac ICU. I have worked a variety of jobs involving children throughout my life until eventually discovering that nursing is the means by which I am called to love them. I am involved in and supported by my home church Liberti (Liberti.org) and our recent church plant in my neighborhood in Center City/South Philly. I have been blessed in more ways than I can list through Christ and people throughout my life and I want to extend Christ's blessings to those particularly in Africa in whatever way God calls me to. In the past I have traveled to Haiti and Brazil for short term missionary trips. I have recently been appointed by Africa Inland Mission, International as a full-time missionary and am currently preparing to move to and minister in Kampala, Uganda, East Africa at Sanyu Babies Home. I am excited to discover all that God has in store for me and for the children in Uganda and throughout Africa in the coming years!! "I took you from the ends of the earty, from its farthest corners I called you, I said, 'You are my servant'; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; i will uphold you with my righteous right hand." -Isaiah 41:9-10 "...But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ...For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God--not the result of works, so that no one may boast. We have been working amongst the Rendille since September 1981. The Rendille language was not written, so we had to learn it directly from the people and then put it into writing. Our work here involves Bible translation, literacy, and community development. We have started a Christian Primary School and plan to develop a medical facility for the Rendille.
